We first met at our friend Mary’s solstice birthday party in September 2022 by a campfire. Rio with a large coke slushie and rum from the convenient store reluctantly sat next to Matt with his beautiful big blue eyes. They found a friendship profoundly special in a conversation too long for any conventional birthday party. A few months later, after several invites, Rio finally agreed to lunch with Matt. He told her a story while casually flexing his bicep. Matt and Rio spend their days creating art, food, and joy in Missoula, Montana.
